Author Guidelines
Management and Education Journal invites academics, researchers, and practitioners to submit original, unpublished research articles within the scope of general management and educational management. Submitted manuscripts must present sound methodology, rigorous analysis, and significant theoretical or practical contributions.
All submissions must be made online via the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Prior to submission, please ensure that the manuscript strictly adheres to the following guidelines:
1. General Requirements
- Originality: The manuscript must be original, have not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration for publication in any other journal.
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English (or Indonesian, depending on the journal's primary language policy).
- Length: The complete manuscript should be between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
- File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Plagiarism Policy: All submitted papers will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or iThenticate. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized logically using the standard IMReD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure:
- Title: Concise, informative, and reflective of the research content (maximum 15 words).
- Author Details: To ensure a blind review, author names, affiliations, and emails must not appear in the main manuscript file. They should only be entered in the OJS submission metadata.
- Abstract: A single paragraph between 150 and 250 words. It must clearly state the research objective, methodology, key findings, and main conclusions.
- Keywords: 3 to 5 specific and relevant keywords, separated by semicolons.
- Introduction: Contains the research background, the gap in existing literature, the novelty or urgency of the study, and a clear statement of the research objectives.
- Methods: Describes the research design, participants or data sources, instruments, and data analysis techniques in sufficient detail to allow replication.
- Results and Discussion: * Results: Presents the findings clearly using text, tables, or figures without repeating the data excessively.
- Discussion: Interprets the results, compares them with previous studies, addresses the research questions, and discusses theoretical and practical implications.
- Conclusion: Summarizes the main findings, states the limitations of the study, and provides recommendations for future research.
- References: All sources cited in the text must be listed in the reference section.
3. Typography and Formatting
- Page Setup: A4 size with 3 cm margins on all sides.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Headings: Use a clear hierarchy (e.g., Introduction, 2. Methods, 3. Results and Discussion).
- Tables and Figures: Must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and embedded directly within the text close to where they are first mentioned. Titles for tables go above the table; titles for figures go below the figure.
4. Citation and Reference Style
- Management and Education Journal strictly follows the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
- Authors are highly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
- At least 80% of the references must come from primary sources (high-impact scientific journal articles) published within the last 5 to 10 years.
